I'm writing a review after using the superfood cleanser for 4 months and while using it, I've used my Tactupump cream (adapalene and benzoyl peroxide) at night. I have extremely oily skin with black heads on my nose and cystic acne on my cheeks. However, this product has really helped with clearing my acne and keeping it from looking dull while using such a drying cream. Today, I no longer experience breakouts and I do believe that this cleanser has been the backbone of my entire regimen.

I’ve never been into “expensive cleaners” and always thought the cheap ones did the same thing, but WOW I have very oily acne prone skin. And this has cleared my face tremendously. I also have used the masks from this line and it’s all a 10/10

My 30’s skin had been looking haggard and nothing I used in my skincare routine seemed to make a difference. I washed my face with La Roche Posay only and sometimes felt it wasn’t strong enough to remove my SPF. I took the plunge with double cleansing to see if it would make a difference in my skin’s appearance. Well, since I’ve started using this balm, my skin has been feeling supple, hydrated and looking more even. I use it as a stand alone and as part of a double cleanse, depending on my mood. Although it does have a crumble like consistency, it easily softens into a thick paste in your hands so it’s easy to apply. I love using it to remove my SPF, and the milk-like residue rinses off well enough on its own so that a double cleanse is not necessary. I do have oily/dry and eczema/acne prone skin and this has been a very gentle cleanser that has not created any irritation or acne since I’ve started about 2 weeks ago. I highly recommend for those who want to get all the gunk out and want supple skin afterwards!

My skin is incredibly sensitive to where I’ve basically stopped trying new skincare products because I usually break out from most. I’m so glad I took a chance and got this cleanser because I have not broken out from it and it’s been 2 months! If anything I think it’s helping keep my skin clear! It feels good putting it on and smells pretty good. Super happy with this cleanser and just wish they made a bigger size!

No makeup for me, but I’m out in the sun a lot so lots of SPF and dirt. I am very particular about what I put on my skin in terms of ingredients, and have been super pleased with Youth To The People, so I was excited to try this cleaner. I like that it starts I off as a balm and then foams up with water- there is basically no waste, which is ideal for me (low budget but wanting quality skin care). I think this jar is going to last me three months. I have oily skin, and frequently break out around my chin and nose. I have been using this cleanser for a week now and can already see improvement. My skin looks more even. My favorite part is that my skin feels hydrated immediately after washing- no dryness or stinging like other products. I will be returning for more.

Cute bottle and smells nice. I didn’t expect this at all.. it’s a little drying? More drying than my salicylic acid cleanser. It’s a gel and doesn’t lather much so I’m not sure why. I like the experience of using this but I have to wash my face fast and get it off... the first time I washed for about 30 seconds and my skin was completely stripped and tight.

I can’t give this a 1-star because I chose this brand for being cruelty free and not using animal products which is great, however it did not work at all for me. I tried the moisturizer and cleanser together for a few days and I broke out in a lot of pimples and all of my skin texture came back. I have oily skin but I found it to be stripping and the moisturizer wasn’t very great, and didn’t hydrate/made my skin look dull. I had a good skin care routine before switching but I found out that brand animal tests so I had to switch, and I was hoping that this would live up to the reviews but unfortunately not. It seems as though this line works really well for some people, but for people with acne and oily skin it might not be the best. I have a lot of acne scars and I found the moisturizer dulled my skin which made them more prominent. It smells very fake, like a shampoo you would get from a hotel and the price tag is just too high for what it is.

I have very oily skin, and this dried me out like crazy. Expensive for what it is. I recommend getting a sample or the small size to try this out before you buy. Now I’m stuck with a bunch of it and I don’t know what to do with it….

I wish I would have read some of the reviews closer before buying. I was so upset with how my skin looked after use. It dried me out, and I am SUPER oily. It made my hyperpigmentation and acne look so much more pronounced and emphasized my texture. I’m glad this works for so many others, but this is a skip for me. There’s products that work much better for less!
